Youth Protection Training

Those interested in an adult leadership postion are required to take Youth Protection Training before they are allowwed to work with the scouts.

Training Details

Youth Protection training is required for all Scouting America registered volunteers and is a joining requirement.

BSA Youth Protection training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer's Youth Protection training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be re-registered.

In addition to BSA Youth Protection, our chartered organization requires leaders to take the Diocese of Columbus' Protecting God's Children training and submit to a background check before becoming a leader.
